Today, I’m sharing a cheerful card featuring some of the fantastic items I found in the 2024 Crafty Advent Calendar by Spellbinders Paper Arts! This card has such a fun and bright vibe that’s perfect for sending happy wishes.
I started by blending a dreamy cloudy sky using My Favorite Things cloud stencil and Hero Arts Lemon Yellow and Mustard Core inks. The gradient effect gives the card a warm look, mimicking the golden glow of a sunrise or sunset. Then I used the hot air balloon die from Day 1 of the calendar to cut two balloons, one from white and red cardstock and the other from pink and white. To add a playful touch, I used tiny colorful banners and glitter bows—how cute are those? The “Have a Sweet Day” sentiment from Day 19 was stamped in black at the bottom of the card, tying everything together with a sweet and simple message. The balloons were adhered to the background using foam tape for extra dimension.
This card was so much fun to create with its combination of bright colors, sparkly elements, and those adorable hot air balloons. Whether it’s for a birthday, a thank-you, or just to brighten someone’s day, this card is sure to bring a smile.
